Practically a Golf Tournament (PGT)
Each February, The Epilepsy Center hosts a unique miniature golf tournament featuring 9 holes and a special 10th hole. This event is open to the public, corporations, media, local school systems, and community organizations. Each hole has its own theme and is designed by an area architect/designer and built by volunteers. The golf holes are placed indoors and golfers are invited to tee off at different times throughout the 4-day event. The top 18 teams with the best scores return to the finals and compete for a trophy and other prizes. A “private clubhouse” provides corporate golfers tasty food and beverages.
Actually a Golf Tournament (AGT)
In May golf foursomes are invited to join The Epilepsy Center for a day of fun-in-the-sun golf. Package includes range balls, 18 holes of golf, lunch at the turn, a steak dinner, and prizes.
Family Camp
For 18 years The Epilepsy Center has been hosted a camp for families and individuals impacted by epilepsy. Family Camp takes place the first weekend in August and is full of activities and educational seminars. Traditionally held at Camp Libbey in Defiance, campers celebrate the camp-assigned “theme” during the weekend through craft and other entertaining festivities.
Annual Dinner
In celebration of November being National Epilepsy Awareness Month, the Annual Dinner raises public awareness about epilepsy, seizure recognition, and first aid. The dinner also serves as an opportunity to thank our gracious volunteers.
Breakfast with Santa
Breakfast with Santa is an event that takes place before the Holiday Parade in downtown Toledo. Included in the event is story time with Santa: breakfast, pictures with Santa, Kids on the Block puppet show, and music and dancing.
