Epilepsy Support Groups

You don’t have to navigate epilepsy alone. Our support groups offer a safe, welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and find encouragement from others who understand.

Local Support Group (In Person)

Our primary, in-person group is a great place to build connections within the Northwest Ohio community.

ECNWO Epilepsy Support Group
Tuesdays | 3:00–4:00 PM
Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center
7430 W. Central Ave., Suite C, Toledo, OH

Open to individuals living with epilepsy, as well as family members, caregivers, and anyone who wants to learn and connect. This group provides a relaxed, supportive environment to talk openly, ask questions, and share resources.

Parents of Children With Epilepsy Facebook Group

Join our private Facebook group to stay connected, share experiences, and support one another in a safe, welcoming space. Membership requires answering two brief security questions to help maintain a trusted environment.

This group is primarily member-driven, with light moderation to ensure conversations remain respectful and appropriate. As the community grows, additional subgroups may be created based on age or shared experiences to better support connection.

Members also receive early updates on events, resources, and opportunities, and can message the administrator with questions as needed.

Please note: this group is not intended for medical advice.

Virtual Support Group (Adults)

Prefer to join from home? The Epilepsy Foundation’s* virtual option makes it easy to stay connected.

‍ ‍Monthly Virtual Support Group

7:30–8:30 PM EST
(Note: July meeting is held on the 17th)

This group is open to adults and offers a welcoming online space to share experiences, exchange encouragement, and connect with others navigating life with epilepsy.
