Outreach Specialist
Janet Cullen brings over a decade of experience as an EEG technician to her role as Outreach Specialist at the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio. A former board member, she has a long-standing commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by epilepsy. Combining clinical knowledge with a compassionate, approachable style, Janet is both a trusted resource and a steady point of connection for those navigating life with epilepsy.
In her role, Janet serves as a bridge between the community and the Center’s programs, education, and support services. She builds relationships with schools, workplaces, healthcare providers, and community organizations across Northwest Ohio to expand awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure people know where to turn for help.
Her work includes:
Seizure First Aid trainings for schools, businesses, and community groups
Education and awareness presentations tailored to a wide range of audiences
Guidance with Seizure Action Plans (SAPs) for individuals, families, and caregivers
Support groups and one-on-one guidance for those seeking personalized support
Community outreach and event engagement to connect people with available resources
